Virginia Madeline Dicke

    Virginia Madeline Dicke, 82, of Ohio City, Ohio, died at 9:33 a.m., Sunday at the Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert.
    She was born in Wapakoneta, Ohio, on January 31, 1930, to the late Frank and Mary (Rinehart) Veit.
    On June 5, 1948, she married Donald Willis Dicke; he preceded her in death on August 18, 2008.
    Among survivors are four sons, Gary (Janell) Dicke of Seymour, Tenn.; Bruce (Barb) Dicke of Decatur; David (Karen) Dicke of Ohio City; and Doug (Anna) Dicke of Ohio City; daughter, Linda (James) Prowse of Convoy, Ohio; brother, Richard (Vickie) Veit of Destin, Fla.; brother-in-law, Eddie Baker of Wapokoneta; sister-in-law, Marlene Veit of Wapokoneta; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Veit; sister, Mary Ann Baker; and a grandson, John Dicke.
    Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service on Friday, November 23, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Bevington of the Ohio City Church of God officiating.
    Burial will follow at Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery.
    Preferred memorials are to the family.
