The 14th annual Motor Sports Festival car show, sponsored by the Decatur Chamber of Commerce, comes to downtown Decatur from 4-9 p.m. Friday. The show annually attracts more than 100 vehicles to the city, including antique, classics, hot rods, motorcycles and — new this year — “rat rods.”
Food will be offered by several vendors on Madison Street beginning at 4 p.m.  Vendors this year include Boy Scouts (French fries), Those Neighbors (brats, hot dogs and pies), Optimist Club (grilled tenderloins, hot dogs and beverages), Rotary Club (snow cones), Callithumpian committee (ribs, pulled pork, pork burgers, ice cream and beverages) and Hirschy Tyner Fund (hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and beverages).
Registration begins at 4 p.m. and show vehicles should enter at Second and Jefferson, where registration fees will be collected. Drivers will then be directed to their designated parking areas.
