The South Adams boys cross country team was led by Nathan Rupp's 17:52 finish in 36th place Saturday at the Bellmont cross country Regional. The Starfire boys finished ninth out of 10 teams with 230 points, just 10 points behind North Side.
Other finishers for South Adams Saturday included Alex Brito, 51st in 18:15, Aaron Lehman, 56th in 18:29, Sam Heckard, 62nd in 19:04 and Andrew Smith, 65th in 19:35.
Northrop won the meet with 40 and will advance to the Semi-State along with Bishop Dwenger, Bellmont, Snider, and Homestead.
In the girls Regional, Starfire harrier Haleigh Lehman participated as an individual runner. She jumped out to an early lead in the race but eventually finished 28th over-all in 16:35. |
