...The 2009 Relay for Life in Adams County opened Friday evening at Adams Centrals football stadium, with hundreds of people attending. It was announced that the event has already made more than $40,000. Some 60 cancer survivors walked the first lap (above), then were joined by dozens of caregivers and six members of the Decatur Fire Department who walked in the heat while wearing full firefighting gear.
