... A boy in a box was among the educational fun this week at Southeast Elementary School, and at Northwest Elementary School, both in Decatur, during Camp Invention. Elementary-school-age students began participation on Monday and will finish on Friday to "play, create, and invent in ways that augment traditional education," according to an announcement. Here, Julian Gonzalez, a third grader next year at Southeast,is sitting in a box beside classmate Felicity Fosnaugh as a room of students used cardboard and other materials to build houses.
