three and four were hotly contested but Adams Central came up with wins of 25-23, 25-22 and the "W" for the evening belonged to the Jets.
As in their other wins this year, Adams Central had a solid offensive effort that found three players in double digits with kills while nearly getting a fourth player there.  Chelsea Selking hammered in 11 kills on the night while both Hali Wendel and Whittney Yoder contributed 10. Bailey Gerke slammed in eight to assist in the Jets victory celebration.
Adams Central popped in eight aces on the night led by five from Kayla Foreman. Gerke, Amber Isch, and Kim Foreman all had one.
Kayla Foreman directed the floor game for the AC offense handing out 32 assists.
As strong as the Jets' offense was Wednesday night, the defense was equally effective. Four different Jets had 13 or more digs with Kim Foreman saving 15 balls, Selking and Michelle Ripley getting 14 digs, and Isch scooping up 13. Wendel, Selking, Yoder, and Gerke all had one block as well.
The AC varsity moved to 4-1 on the season with the victory and will take their two-game winning streak to the Wapahani Invitational this Saturday starting at 9 a.m.
Northrop did manage to win the junior varsity and freshman games over Adams Central. AC won the opening JV contest by a 25-20 score but Northrop evened the count with a similar win in the second tilt. In the final contest of the night,  Northrop blitzed the Jets by a 15-1 count.
Sarah Soldner had nine digs and four kills for the Jets, Alisen Barger had two aces and three assists, Chelsie Eads had three kills, Tiffany Lee had two kills,  Alyssa Keller had seven assists and Jenae Blackburn finished with five digs.
In the freshman game, Adams Central again won the first contest 25-18 before falling in the next two 25-12, 15-12.
For AC, Whittney Landis had four kills and six digs, Natalie Young ended up with two kills and three aces, Sarah Lichtle had two kills, Madi Johnson had two kills,  four aces, and six digs, Alexa Baller had five digs, and Hannah Luginbill tallied two aces in addition to passing out nine assists.
The AC reserve team is now 2-3 on the year while the frosh fell to 1-4.
