Vets groups plan joint Memorial Day service

    A joint Adams County Memorial Day observance will be hosted by the Decatur American Legion Post 43 and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 6236, along with the Berne American Legion Post 468 and Geneva VFW Post 6751 on May 27.
    The program will begin at the Decatur Catholic Cemetery at 8:30 a.m., where a short memorial service will be held, followed by a second service at the Decatur Cemetery.
    The main event, featuring speaker Guy Gruters, will take place at 11 a.m. at the Adams County Veterans Memorial, 524 Berne St., in Berne, next to the American Legion Post 468.
