United Way salutes major donors

April 24, 2014

The United Way of Adams County recognized area residents and businesses who have made notable contributions to the organization over the past year during a luncheon held at the Monroe United Brethren Church Wednesday.
UW co-campaign chairs Jessica Thieme and Natasha Nevil addressed the crowd, thanking board members and agencies throughout the county for their tireless efforts in supporting the various committees and fund drives formed by the UW each year.
Thieme noted the group has raised approximately $185,000 of its $200,014 goal for this year, adding that approximately $175,000 of that money will soon be given to various organizations throughout the county that serve area residents.
