United Way over the top!

March 20, 2013

A thank-you celebration for the workers, volunteers, and contributors of the 2012 United Way campaign in Adams County was held Tuesday evening at Swiss Village in Berne with the highlight of the evening coming when United Way Director Jim Compton announced that the county effort topped its goal of $200,013.
It marked the first time in the last four years the goal had been attained and it was accomplished with the help of a match from the Eli Lilly Foundation.
A final dollar figure was not revealed, but Compton stressed the goal of the United Way was to work together to "help us help you."
