Two women are handed prison terms

January 27, 2011

Two women, one of whom is a Decatur resident, were handed prison terms by Adams Superior Court Judge Patrick R. Miller on Tuesday.
A term of two and one-half years went to Deborah S. Leeson, 39, Decatur, who pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while intoxicated, endangering a person. It was her second conviction of intoxicated driving, the first having occurred in 2008 in Adams County.
Leeson was also suspended from driving until November 24, 2012 and was ordered to pay $364.50 in court costs. A charge of driving while suspended was dismissed.
One year plus 335 days was given to Crystal L. Reed, 21, Fort Wayne, who violated probation by using cocaine, being arrested in Allen County, and failing to report that arrest to her probation officer here.
She is on probation for convictions of obstruction of justice, false informing, possession of marijuana, and theft.
