Numerous ideas were proposed at the town hall meeting held at the Riverside Center on Tuesday night. An energetic crowd gathered to discuss downtown renovations, building proposals, trail extensions, and river front improvements.
By pulling ideas from other successful communities the city of Decatur is hoping to create an atmosphere that allows for fun, culture, arts, and industry. A place to call home, a place to raise children, and a place for tourist to stop.
Mayor John Schultz was in attendance after minor surgery, and said he is feeling well. He sparked ambition and answered public questions.
