Three people suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle mishap at 5:03 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 224 near Briarwood Trail, according to a Decatur Police Department report.
Police said the accident occurred when a westbound pickup truck driven by Matthew E. Wallace, 19, Harvester Lane, Decatur, allegedly went left of center into the path of an eastbound car operated by Jeremy L. Hileman, 35, Willshire, Ohio. Hileman told police he swerved into the ditch but was unable to avoid a collision with the truck.
Wallace's truck then continued on and struck a SUV driven by Christopher D. Hart, 38, Monroeville, that had just pulled out of the Fleetwood RV plant on U.S. 224. The Hart SUV also ended up in the ditch on the south side of the road after the collision.
Following the second collision, the Wallace truck rolled over onto its top and Wallace was pinned under his vehicle, police said.
