Three prison terms are handed down

October 15, 2012

Prison sentences were handed down recently in Adams Circuit Court, including two to Decatur residents.
Wesley A. Lanning, 23, Portland, received prison time after recently pleading guilty in Adams Circuit Court to child molesting.
He was sentenced to four years in prison, with two years suspended, by Judge Fredrick A. Schurger.
Lanning will be on probation for two years after serving his time, tmust register as a sex offender, and was ordered to pay $2,062.14 in court costs and restitution to the victim's father.
Also sent  to prison was Michael A. Robinson, 25, Decatur.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of resisting law enforcement and was sentenced to eight months in jail, to run concurrent to his previous sentence, and was ordered to pay $166 in court costs.
By virtue of pleading guilty to the resisting charge, Robinson pleaded guilty to violating probation. So the judge revoked his previously-suspended sentence of one year and nine months in prison.
Meanwhile, David A. Lancaster, 37, Decatur, pleaded guilty to possession of a narcotic drug, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia. He was sentenced to a total of five years and seven months in prison, to run consecutively with an Allen County sentence.
He will be on probation for three years after serving his time and must complete substance abuse program/addiction services.
