Thomas L. Johnson

    Thomas L. Johnson, 61, of Bluffton, died at 5:25 a.m. Sunday in Lutheran Hospital at Fort Wayne.
    He was born on December 11, 1948, in Wells County to Eugene L. and Helen I. Diehl Johnson.
    He married Carolyn "Sue" Betz on June 23, 1984, in Bluffton; she survives.
    He worked 28 years for Fleetwood Enterprises at a motor home plant in Decatur.
    He was a 1967 graduate of Lancaster High School in Wells County, was an excellent mushroom hunter, and loved to read.
    He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a former member of American Legion Post 111 at Bluffton.
    Other survivors are four sons, Kevin Johnson of Fort Wayne, John and Charles Dedrick of Bluffton, and Keith Dedrick of Indianapolis; four brothers, Tim Johnson of Indianapolis; Dennis Johnson of Fresno, California; David Johnson of Coarsegold, California; and Steven Johnson of Elkhart; two sisters, Janice Wagoner of Brevard, North Carolina, and Debra Gabbard of Indianapolis; and seven grandchildren.
    One brother, Stanley Johnson, is deceased.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Thoma, Rich, Chaney, and Lemler Funeral Home, Bluffton, with Pastor Mike Gilbert officiating.
    Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Bluffton, with military honors by the color guard from American Legion Post 111 and a U.S. Marine Corps honor guard.
    Visiting hours are 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday.
