      Thomas Dean Titus, 76, Decatur, passed away at 8:40 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, at Adams Woodcrest.
    Tom was born in Decatur Thursday, Sept. 16, 1937, the son of the late Thomas Wesley and Margaret Rose (Thomas) Titus. He married Hazel Roberts on June 6, 1959; she passed away Nov. 29, 1965. He married Mary (Woebbeking) Titus Aug. 9, 1969, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne; she survives.
       He retired from General Electric as an engineer after 41 years of service. Tom was member of the GE Quarter Century Club.
      Among survivors are daughters, Deborah (Doug) Ungemach of Decatur, Flavia Titus of Decatur and Teresa Hartman of Bristol; son, Thomas W. (Anne) Titus of Columbia City; sister, Janice (James) Geels of Decatur; 12 grandchildren, Kristi (Jason) Jauregui; Gregory and James Ungemach; Melissa, Jennifer and Sarah Hartman; Jeremy (Emily) Bertsch; Sarah (Sam) Jones; Baily Rentschler; Justin, Dylin and Jaxon Titus; and four great-grandchildren, Lucas, Hailey and Carissa Jauregui; and Grayson Jones.
    He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sabina Bertsch; and one sister, Patricia Gerber.
    Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home. Private family services will be held at a later date.
