Thelma M. Ritchie

    Thelma M. Ritchie, 89, of Geneva, passed away at 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur.
    She was born on Sunday, February 13, 1921, in Fairmount to Murl and Minnie Reiman Nelson
    Mrs. Ritchie was a homemaker and a farmer. She also retired from Kerr Glass at Dunkirk.
    She formally attended Church Of Christ South Side at Portland.
    She married Charles D. Ritchie on September 8, 1940, in Muncie; he passed away on June 20, 1978.
     Survivors include one son, Steven Ritchie (and wife Jill) of Bryant; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Janet) Thornburg of Bryant; one brother. Thomas Nelson (and wife Betty) of Georgetown, Delaware; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
     She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Carter and Margarite King, and by one brother, Fred Nelson.
     There will be no calling hours or funeral service for Thelma.
     Arrangements are being handled by Downing and Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.
    Interment will be in IOOF Cemetery at Pennville at a later date.
