Thelma Berkshire

    Thelma M. Berkshire, 79, of Decatur passed away Friday, August 9, 2013, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
    Thelma was born Sunday, October 1, 1933, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to the late James Civiley and Lucinda Mae (Cheek) McGraw.
    She married James W. Berkshire on May 31, 1953; he passed away February 15, 2009.
    Thelma was a homemaker and had formerly attended the Decatur Church of Christ.
    Among survivors are three sons, Timothy J. (Cathy) Berkshire of Decatur, Thomas Lynn (Sharon) Berkshire of Greensburg, and Terry Richard (Mary) Berkshire of Garrett; twin sister, Velma "Tommy" Dean of Casa Grande, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, Mike (Andrea) Berkshire, Nick Berkshire, Jeff (Brandi) Berkshire, Stephanie Berkshire, Amanda (Vince) Milholland, Kasey (Butch) Barber, and Allison (Paul) Bruns; two step-grandchildren, Stephanie (Russ) Smith and Jeremy Steen; nine great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
    Thelma was preceded in death by two brothers, George "Gene" McGraw and James A. McGraw; and a half-brother, Bill Campbell.
    Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, August 12 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, August 14 at Woodcrest Porter Auditorium.
    Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, also at the funeral home.
    Burial will follow in Decatur Cemetery.
    Preferred memorials are to Honor Flight Northeast Indiana.
