Terry D. Ogg

    Terry D. Ogg, 64, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital.
    He was born in Adams County on Saturday, January 3, 1948, to the late Max E.Ogg and Helen J. (Owens) Ogg.
    Terry married Joan M. Burkley on November 3, 1979 in Decatur; she survives in Decatur.
    He served in the United States Navy during Viet Nam from 1967-1971. He was a member of The Bridge Community Church in Decatur, the American Legion Post 43, the NRA, and the VFW 6236.
    Terry worked at General Electric in Decatur from 1967-1989, and then StoneCo from 1989-2005.
    Among survivors are his mother, Helen J. Ogg of Decatur; daughter, Mariessa K. (Paul) Hockemeyer of Decatur; daughter, Shelly L. (Kevin) Pugh of Portland; daughter, Marsha A. (Jeremy) Friedt of Decatur; daughter, Nikki A. (Greg) Meyer of Decatur; son, Craig W. (Chris) Ruskaup of Fort Wayne; brother, Neil A. (Mary) Ogg of Decatur; sisters, Joyce A. (Chris) Geels of Decatur, Jan S. Kiser of Decatur; Jill R. (Bill) Rykard of Decatur; 11 grandchildren, Brittney, Breanna, and Karley Hockemeyer; Makayla Free; Molly Jo Pugh; Carson and Cameron Friedt; Derek and Alex Meyer; and Emma and Ellee Ruskaup.
    He was preceded in death by his sister, Becky Ogg.
    Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, and also for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. 
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 7, in The Bridge Community Church, with Pastor Mo Hodge officiating.
    Burial will follow in Decatur Cemetery.
    Preferred memorials are to The Bridge Community Church or Adams County Animal Shelter.
