Swiss Heritage Village open six days starting Friday

May 31, 2012

Doug Milligan, executive director of Swiss Heritage Village, has announced that beginning Friday, the village will be open every day, except Sundays and holidays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The facility is open on Saturdays through the month of May.
Chartered in 1985, Swiss Heritage Village covers 22 acres at the northeast edge of Berne. It is touted as the largest outdoor museum in Indiana.
Milligan also stated that guides will be available to conduct tours and the gift shop is open. Prices for guided tours are $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $3 for children 6 to 12, and $4 for adults in groups of 10 or more. Children under 6 are free.
It was also announced that membership in the Swiss Heritage Society, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, is currently available. Membership levels range from $25 to $1,000 or more, and entitles a person to free admission to the museum village and special events.
Checks may be mailed to Swiss Heritage Society, PO Box 88, Berne, IN 46711.
