Swiss Days winds up; blood drive set

    Saturday was a busy day in Berne, with Swiss Days hitting full stride  and featuring numerous activities, putting a wrap on the four-day event.
    From weiner dog races to stein tossing and a big parade, the activities drew large crowds amid nearly ideal weather.
    The family (see photo) of fallen soldier Nick Taylor served as grand marshals of the annual parade.    
    A Fallen Soldier-dedicated blood drive in memory of Spec. Taylor will be held from 1-7 p.m. Tuesday at the First Missionary Church, 950 U.S. 27 S, Berne. To sign up for a specific time to donate blood, call 1-800-RED CROSS
