Super Kids Dare to be Healthy set

December 27, 2011

The annual Super Kids Dare to be Healthy program will run from January 9 through March 5 and again from April 2 through May 30 to emphasize nutrition (especially better food choices), daily physical activity, and building self-esteem and self-acceptance.
An announcement said students age 8 to 14 will participate from 3:30-5 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays during those eight-week periods at the Adams County Service Complex on Jefferson St. between Third and Fourth Sts.
The cost is $15, which includes snacks, a water bottle, exercise equipment, and a T-shirt.
The announcement said special school bus routes will be offered to let students off at the Service Complex as they come from schools.
Super Kids Dare to be Healthy is sponsored by Adams Memorial Hospital, the Decatur-Adams County Parks and Recreation Department, the Purdue Extension Service, and the Adams County Health Department.
To register a student or for more information, call Carrie Binegar at the hospital: 724-2145, ext. 3906.
