Stutzman, Holcomb to speak at local Lincoln Day dinner

March 22, 2011

U.S. Rep. Marlin Stutzman

Two prominent Indiana Republicans will share guest speaking roles at this year's Lincoln Day dinner in Decatur on Thursday, April 28, sponsored by the Adams County Republican Party.
The speakers will be U.S. Rep. Marlin Stutzman from rural Howe, who was elected after Rep. Mark Souder resigned in 2010, and Indiana Republican Party Chairman Eric Holcomb.
The event will start at 6 p.m. in the Knights of Columbus Pavilion at 1703 High St. with a reception. Third District Rep. Stutzman will serve as the keynote speaker, with dinner to begin at 7 p.m.
Also expected to be in attendance and address the gathering is Holcomb, according to local party officials.    Stutzman, a fourth-generation farmer, served in the Indiana House from 2002-08 and in the Senate from 2008-10. He is deputy whip of the Republican caucus in the U.S. House and serves on the agriculture, budget, and veterans' affairs committees.
In 2008, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce gave Stutzman its "Small Business Champion of the Year" award.
Holcomb was elected in January as state chairman, after serving as deputy chief of staff to Gov. Mitch Daniels and the manager of Daniels' 2008 re-election.
The event is open to the public, but reservations are required for dinner. To make a reservation or for more information, call Adams County Republican Chairman Rob Noetzel, 724-3478. or Jerry Walker, 589-2208; or use this e-mail address:
