    Stuart A. Braun, 46, of Decatur, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2011, at his residence.
    He was born on May 26, 1964, to Richard E. and Catherine “Ann” (Gass) Braun.
    He is survived by his father, Richard E. Braun of Decatur; five brothers, Louie (Joan) Braun of Saratoga, Wyoming; Marty (Julie) Braun of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Matt (Pat) Braun, Sam (Marsha) Braun, and Pete (Sharon) Braun, all of Decatur; two sisters, Kink Butler and Bridget (Troy) Merkle of Decatur; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie (Gass) Braun.
    He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur and its Knights of Columbus Council 864.
    He worked as a ward clerk in Adams Memorial Hospital.
    Visitation is 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home in Decatur, with reciting of the Holy Rosary at 2:30 p.m.
    A 9:20 a.m. prayer service will be held on Friday, May, 13, 2011, at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father David Voors.
    Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Decatur.
    Memorials may be made to Adams Memorial Hospital's Behavioral Health Department, to the March of Dimes, or to St. Joseph Catholic School in Decatur.
