Matt Vondran of the Northeast Indiana Regional Coordinating Council informed the city that the original estimated cost per the grant application was $503,050, which included an original local match of $103,050. However, the project took less time than anticipated and thus the total cost came in approximately $103,000 lower than estimated. So the local match wound up being some $23,000 below estimate.
