Storybook to 'open' August 13

August 2, 2013

Groundbreaking ceremonies for Storybook Park, a new green space and park area being created by the Adams Public Library System, will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, at the corner of Jefferson and 3rd streets in Decatur. The public is invited to attend the event.
APLS Director Kelly Ehinger said the fundraising campaign for the park has reached its first goal for groundbreaking of more than $50,000, or 50 percent of the total cost of the project.
Efforts to raise funds for Storybook Park will continue with a benefit auction at 4 p.m. on August 24 in the parking lot at the northeast corner of Jefferson and 2nd streets in Decatur.
