Storm brings .8 rain to a dry Decatur

June 22, 2012

Decatur received its first significant rainfall of the month on Thursday when an early-evening storm dumped 8-10ths of an inch here, according to officials at the city weather station.
Only 3-10ths of an inch had been recorded in the first 20 days of the month.
A high in the 90s was recorded for the fourth day in a row, but highs here are expected to drop back into the 80s today and the 70s by the first of the week.
There is no rain listed in the National Weather Service forecast through next Thursday.
