Stewart W. McMillen, Jr

      Stewart W. McMillen, Jr, 76, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away at his residence Saturday, March 24, 2012.  
    He was born in Fort Wayne in 1935, the son of the late Stewart and Elizabeth McMillen.
    He graduated from Culver Military Academy and attended Purdue University. He was in the Air Force as an Aviation Cadet. He drove race cars for 12 years and had a cattle ranch in Wyoming. He retired from Emergency Management and moved to Kerrville in 1990.
          He is survived by his wife, Mimi; daughter Mrs. Michael Riley of Massilion, Ohio; daughter Mrs. Scott Saylor of Decatur; and a son, Mark S. McMillen, of Bullhead City, Ariz.; and four grandchildren, Amanda and Stewart Loshe; and Sean and Sara Saylor.
          A memorial service for Mr. McMillen was held today at 10 a.m., at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Kerrville, Texas, with Chaplain Jim Carpenter officiating.
          Preferred memorials are to the Humane Society of Kerrville, Texas, or the charity of one’s choice.
