A spokesman for the Indiana State Patrol said at 8:30 a.m. today that a Level 1 emergency exists in "most of the 11-county Fort Wayne district" which includes Adams County.
A Level 1 emergency means that travel is restricted to emergency personnel only, the spokesman said.
Moderate snow continued to fall throughout the district. Interstate 69 and I-469 were said to be slick and snow-covered, although passable. State and county roads are snow-covered and in some cases impassable, the patrol said.
