Stars roll Daleville, 66-54

November 29, 2011

BERNE— The Starfire boys took on the Daleville Broncos at the Stardome for a non-conference match-up on the court Saturday night and came away with a 66-54 victory to improve to 2-0 on the year.
The game featured the return of last year's leading scorer Dustin Wanner who picked up right where he left off against the Broncos after missing the Union City game with an ankle injury.
Wanner had a team-high 16 points on the night with half of his total coming from the foul line shooting 8 for 11 at the stripe. The senior captain was helped in the scoring column by fellow seniors Scott Hoeppner and Mark Smith who had 10 and 12 respectively.
The Stars will host Muncie Burris tonight at the Stardome with a 6 p.m. JV start.
