After a scoreless top of the first, Woodlan looked to be headed for a good night when they scored their only run, which came off of Starfire errors, but South Adams would not go scoreless in an inning again.
The Stars put up two in the second and third, three in the fourth, one in the fifth, and finally a four-spot in the sixth inning to methodically crush Woodlan with offense. The 12 runs came on 14 hits in the ball game.
Blake Fox got the complete game win for SA going all six innings allowing five hits in the game, while not being charged for the Warriors' only run due to errors. Fox would also strike out seven batters in the game. Woodlan starter Z. Schwartz took the loss as he threw 3.1 innings before being yanked but not before allowing ten of the Starfire hits for seven runs. S. Kitzmiller finished the game for the Warriors going 2.2 innings giving up the other five runs on four hits, walking four batters.
Collin Affolder had a monster day at the plate going a perfect four-for-four with three runs scored and five of the Starfire RBIs. The sophomore broke out of his shell knocking a double and two homeruns in the game including a sixth inning grand slam to crush Woodlan's spirit completely.
