Squadron flying to State Finals

October 30, 2012

Adams Central's Squadron of Sound will be returning to Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indiana State Music School Association (ISSMA) marching band State Finals.
The Squadron will perform at 5:09 p.m. Saturday. Adams Central made its last trip to the finals in 2009, placing ninth.
The AC group was one of 10 bands emerging from last weekend's Class D Semistate competition at Franklin High near Greenwood. A total of 20 bands took part there.
Following is the schedule for Saturday's Class D finals:

    4:43 p.m., South Spencer
    4:66 p.m., Mater Dei
    5:09 p.m., Adams Central
    5:22 p.m., Southridge

    5:48 p.m., Paoli

Several other area bands were selected by judges to advance to the State Finals in other classes, including Class A defending champ Homestead — earning its 26th consecutive trip to the state windup.
Fort Wayne North Side advanced in Class B, while Norwell, Fort Wayne Concordia, and Angola will be competing in Class C.
All four classes will perform at Lucas Oil on Saturday.
