Souvenirs for 175th hoopla now on sale

April 1, 2011

The Decatur 175th Celebration Committee has announced that souvenirs of this year’s anniversary of the city are available at five businesses.
Picture postcards of Decatur and pre-orders for collector books are available at The Home Place, The Next Page Bookstore and More, Ritter’s Flowers and Gifts, and Yvonne Marie’s Antique Mall. Postcards also are being sold at the Back 40 Junction.
The postcards, 50 cents each, were designed by Max Miller, co-chairman of the Decatur 175th Celebration Committee, and printed by Complete Printing Service in Decatur.
Six “then and now” scenes are available on the cards: the Adams County Courthouse, the Peace Monument on the courthouse square, the library, the post office, downtown street scenes, and the Adams County Museum.  Additional 175th anniversary souvenirs will be offered at the above locations soon, the committee said.
All current and future items are also offered for sale at the committee’s website: www.decatur175.com.
