Snowdrops a welcome change

After months of snowflakes, snowdrops are a welcome change. The early spring flowers are of the genus Galanthus, which includes about 20 flowers, most of which bloom in winter before the vernal equinox (March 20-21 in the northern hemisphere). The flowers shown above were photographed Friday, but had bloomed prior to that.
