The local Shrine lodge will host area Shriners as they participate in a parade in Decatur on Friday.
The parade, due to start at 8 p.m., will feature antique vehicles, tractors, mini-cars, etc.
The parade will form at and also end at the Krueckeberg building (formerly Adams Lumber) on Adams St. The parade will go east on Adams St. to Five Points, north on Second St. to Madison St., west on Madison to Seventh St., and south on Seventh back to Adams St.
City Police Chief Ken Ketzler said people are asked to have all vehicles off the parade route from 4 to 10 p.m. He said those who need parking space may use the city-owned Seventh St. property between the north side of the fire station and the old depot. Parking will also be available on city and county lots behind City Hall, the Service Complex, the north and west sides of the Superior Court Building, and the First St. lot off Madison St.
Adams St. will be closed at both Seventh and Tenth streets at 6 p.m., the chief said, and then the parade route will be closed to traffic starting at 7 p.m.
