Sheila Y. Nevsimal

    Sheila Y. Nevsimal, 78, Berne, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 at her home.
    She was born to Norman and Frances (West) Harris Oct. 14, 1935, in Losantville.
    Sheila was a nurse and practiced many years at Chalet Village in Berne. Her special interests included crocheting, quilting, reading, traveling and teaching children crocheting at the Berne Public Library.
    Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn S. Hofstetter of Geneva, and Jo (James) Biagi of Berne; three sons, James R. Lindsey of Seattle, Wash., Nick Harris of Farmland, and Jimmie Harris of Muncie; two sisters; Shirley Karnes of Vandalia and Sharlene Wetendorf of Decatur; grandchildren Amanda Webb, Mariea Lindsey, Christian Halterman, Gloria and Brian Biagi and Sierra Parker, and nine great-grandchildren, including Jayden Kausing.
    Preceding here in death were her parents, a son, John Nevsimal, and brothers Donnie and Curtis Harris.
    Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the MRE Cemetery Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in MRE Cemetery.
