Sewer project gains interim financing

August 21, 2013

Preliminary financing has been secured for a rural sewer project designed to serve approximately 265 Adams County households.
The Adams County Regional Sewer District board of directors, with four members present, met in special session Tuesday morning to entertain quotes submitted for Bond Anticipation Notes for the estimated $4.5 million project to install the county's first-ever rural sewer in the outlying areas of Monmouth and Roe Acres, Bobo, Pleasant Mills and Arcadia Village.
Proposals for interim financing in the amount of $500,000 were sought by the board from a half-dozen lending institutions, and three quotes were submitted for consideration.
