Seniors voucher site sought

July 31, 2013

An official of Aging & In-Home Services of Northeast Indiana (AIHS) said Tuesday the agency is seeking a new Decatur site for its restaurant voucher program, suspended since the closing of Spring Garden Restaurant at the intersection of Winchester Road, 13th and 2nd streets.
"A couple of weeks ago, may be a little loinger, we learned the restaurant had closed," said Mary Wiemann, senior vice president of advancement for AIHS. The agency wasn't informed by restaurant management, she said, but by some people using the service.
So a search is under way for a new site, perhaps a restaurant.
