Seek gifts for kids

November 7, 2011

Officials of the Adams County chapter of Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC) have announced that its Emmanuel Project has begun, with the goal of providing Christmas gifts to children in low-income families in the county.
Churches throughout the county are being contacted by Love INC to sponsor such children, but businesses and individuals are also welcome to become sponsors, according to LOVE officials.
Those eligible are children who receive free or reduced-price meals at schools.
Applications are due at the Love INC office in Decatur's Industrial Park by November 10 and may be mailed to Love INC at 1735 Patterson St. or may be mailed to Love INC at Box 932, Decatur, IN 46733.
The office is open from 9 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m.-noon and 1-2 p.m. Fridays.
Sponsors are asked to deliver gifts to the children at the Love INC site by December 9.
Gifts should be picked up by the families at designated distribution sites on December 17.
For more information, call Love INC: 728-4503.
