Sculpture Tour gets courthouse use OK

April 16, 2013

Coni Mayer of the Adams Community Foundation came to the commissioners on Monday with local library director Kelly Ehinger to request the use of the courthouse lawn for the Decatur Sculpture Tour in June.
Last year, the Sculpture Walk opened August 23 and was mainly on Second Street, featuring 12 outdoor sculptures and four indoor sculptures. This year, the committee — which includes Mayer and Ehinger — in charge of the exhibition has decided to expand; some of last year's sculptures will be displayed along Monroe Street, while the new ones will once again be displayed along Second Street.
