Schwartz, Reinhard step down at South Adams

August 9, 2012

The South Adams Schools Board made several personnel decisions at a special meeting on Tuesday.
The retirement of Ted Schwartz, an art teacher at the school for 34 years, was approved. Also approved was the resignation of Mary Reinhard as a library aide. Reinhard has worked at South Adams for 16 years.
Employments that were approved include those of Nick Minnich as an afternoon bus driver to the Boys and Girls Club; Aimee Buckland as a PE teacher assigned to the elementary for the upcoming school year; and Luke McClung as an art teacher assigned to the middle school and high school for the coming year.
Also, Ashley Fosnaugh as a freshman/junior varsity volleyball coach; Josh Page as a middle school football coach (pending background check); and Aimee Buckland as a volunteer girls' soccer coach.
In other business at the meeting, the board announced that the textbook cost for a new online, dual-credit psychology course through IPFW is $26.13. This cost was omitted from the textbook fees that were given at last month's meeting.
