Sandra G. McAdams

    Sandra Gay McAdams passed away on April 19, 2011.
    Mrs. McAdams was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and was a 1957 graduate of Northside High School. She attended Massey Business College, leading to various office management positions.
    She was most proud of supporting her husband’s distinguished military career by serving as an exemplary U.S. Army Military wife for 30 years.
    Mrs. McAdams is survived by her husband of 54 years, Colonel (Ret.) Michael C. McAdams; two daughters and sons-in-law: Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Peterson (Gay) of Decatur, Indiana, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold R. Setliff (Becky) of Wilmington, North Carolina; one son, Michael C. "Mac" McAdams of Seaford, Virginia; four grandchildren, Cristopher Peterson, Gregory Peterson, Rami Chilton, and Loren McAdams; and two great-grandchildren.
    A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2011, in the chapel of Amory Funeral Home at Grafton, Virginia, with Dr. James H. Daughdrill Jr. officiating.
    The family will receive friends following the service.
    Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery near Washington, D.C. at a later date.
