SA soccer girls receive All-Conference award

October 31, 2011

Brianna Nevil

The Lady Starfires' soccer team received their all-conference selections this last week for the ACAC and came away with two players on the first team and three on the second team.
Making the first team squad was senior Brianna Nevil and junior Rachel Simon for the Stars. The Leo Lions placed five members of their squad on the first team to lead the conference, while Heritage placed four, and the Garrett Railroaders and Woodlan Warriors each added a player to round out the squad.
The second team had South Adams represented by two sophomores, Erika Miller and Samantha Sprunger, and a freshman, Alaina Johnston. Leo, Garrett, Woodlan, and Heritage also added three members from their squads to make the second team extremely evenly dispersed.
The Stars finished with a 2-2 conference record, which was good enough for third place behind the 3-1 Patriots and the undefeated 4-0 Lions.
