S. Adams BOE discusses social media strategy

July 18, 2014

South Adams Superintendent of Schools Scott Litwiller informed school board members at their recent meeting he is continuing to work on a “vision for social media use” at South Adams; one that is congruent with the school’s mission, objectives and goals. Specifically, the board is interested in using social media as an outreach tool for communication and marketing.
The project “is gonna take time; it’s a big job,” Litwiller commented. One of the options being considered is a Facebook page, set up as a one-way communications tool. Board member Landon Patterson noted Facebook “is a great way to get information out to the public. I don’t think it’s possible to have too much information.” Board members asked Litwiller to continue working on the plan.
