Ruth F. Houser, 77, of Bryant, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born in Bryant on October 14, 1935, to the late Raymond and Veronica (Minch) Wagner.
Ruth was married June 17, 1955, to Richard Houser; he survives.
She retired from Bing Lear in 2004 and worked on the family dairy farm. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bryant and a 1953 Bryant High School graduate.
Among survivors are her three sons, Mike Houser of Bryant, David (Cindy) Houser of Decatur, and Stephen (Michelle) Houser of Decatur; three daughters, Patty (Lee) Stephens of Portland, Cathy (Bob) Reef of Berne, and Connie (Brad) Aker of Portland; three brothers, Jim Wagner of Fla., Eddie Wagner of Celina, and Don Wagner of Portland; six sisters, Betty Laux of Bryant, Barbara Weigel of Coldwater, Connie Lehman of Coldwater, Judy Miller of Union City, Virginia Chacon of Fla., and Trudy Poling of West Milton; 15 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon-5 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, with a scripture service at 5 p.m., at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 11, also at the funeral home, with Fr. David Hoying presiding.
Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant.
Preferred memorials are to Family Lifecare Hospice in Berne.
