Ruth E. Brown

    Ruth Elaine Brown died on January 3, 2013, surrounded by her family.
    She was born in Geneva, the only daughter of Theodore and Adah (Felty) Meyer.
    Ruth married Willis Brown in 1957.
    They raised their family in Geneva and only left home late in life to join their sons in S.C. The Browns attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Portland and Dutch Fork Baptist Church in Columbia, S.C.
    Among survivors are her husband of 55 years, Willis Brown; two sons, Michael (Rachelle) Brown and Stephen Brown, both of Columbia, S.C.; and two daughters, Mary (Tim) Sharpe of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Rhonda (Emmanuel) Kardoulias of New Orleans, La.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
    A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, at Riverside Cemetery in Geneva, officiated by Rev. Wayne Ward of Cornerstone Baptist Church of Portland
    In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to Cornerstone Baptist Church in Portland, or Dutch Fork Baptist Church in Columbia, S.C.
