Russell N. Jones

    Russell N. Jones, 76, Monroeville, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014, at his residence.
    He was born Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1937, in Churubusco, the son of the late Nathan and Elma (Hutchinson) Jones. 
    Russell married Jean C. Gaskill Aug. 22, 1969, in Dixon; she passed away Sept. 26, 2005.
  Russell was a member of the Moose Lodge 1311 in Decatur and Convoy Fox Hunters in Convoy, Ohio. He enjoyed trap shooting and fishing.
  He was a graduate of South Side High School and retired in 1999 from Grimmer-Schmidt in Franklin as plant manager of the fiberglass division. Prior to that, he had worked at Fort Wayne Pool for 15 years.
  Surviving are two sons, Tony W. (Amber) Jones of Greenwood and Kevin P. (Jill) Jones of Kendallville; a daughter, Lisa (Dave) Sewell of Wolcottville;  four step-sons, Steven L. Beauchot of Jackson, Mich., Jeffery B. Williams and Jon M. Williams, both of Monroeville, Thomas J. (Gretchen) Williams, Fort Wayne; a step-daughter, Julie K. Seibel of Highland Village, Texas; a sister, Beverly Koile of Uhricksville, Ohio; and 14 grandchildren.
    Preceding Russell in death were two brothers, Ronald and Lewis Jones; and two sisters, Barbara Bender and Lois Martin.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, with Chaplain Eric Riddle officiating. 
    Internment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.
    Friends will be received from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the services Thursday at the funeral home.
    Preferred memorials are to Monroeville EMS or Monroeville Fire Department.
