Rosemary Holthouse

    Rosemary Holthouse, 92, formerly of Decatur, died on January 23, 2012 in Joliet, Illinois.
    She was born in Decatur on July 8, 1920, to the late Fredrick (Frickle) Fullenkamp and Esther Corbett Fullenkamp.
    Rosemary married Louis A (Jack) Holthouse; he died September 24, 1998.
    She enjoyed traveling to Europe, Ireland and Alaska, and her interests in life were basketball, tennis and swimming in high school and college. Rosemary worked at the West End restaurant years ago and enjoyed seeing all the smiling faces.
    Among survivors are her daughter, Mary Lou (Lou) Holthouse Gersman; son-in-law Lyn Gersman; two grandchildren, Sarah Gersman Henderson and Samuel C. (Jennifer) Gersman.
    The great loves of her life were her great-grandchildren, Samantha Lou Henderson and Dalton Michael Henderson; a sister, Naureen (Rene) Egley of Phoenix; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Fullenkamp Zintsmaster.
    A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
    Preferred memorials are to her favorite charity, Camp Quality in Frankfort, Ill., a camp for kids with cancer, where they can just be kids. Her grandaughter Sami attends every summer. It is sponsored by Hope Children's Hosptial in Oak Lawn, Ill.
