Rosella M. Mills, 85, of Craigville passed away at 5 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2011, at Swiss Village in Berne, Indiana.
Rosie Mills was born on September 17, 1925, in Wells County, Indiana, to Scott Michael “Mick” Biddle and Mary Marguite (Shady) Biddle. She graduated with the class of 1943 from P.A. Allen High School in Bluffton.
On February 27, 1944, in Wells County she married Wendell A. Wolf. They were married for 18 before he preceded her in death on June 19, 1962. On August 8, 1970, she married Harry E. Mills; he also precedes her in death, on November 19, 1999.
Rosie Mills worked as a CNA at Caylor-Nickel Clinic and as a Home Health Care Nurse for many years. She was a fun-loving and dedicated mother and grandmother and enjoyed being around people and making others laugh. She loved to play the piano and enjoyed singing in the choir at the Ossian Nazarene Church, where she was a longstanding member.
Survivors include Claudia ( Raymond) Reed of Decatur, Nancy (Harrison) Williams of Alexandria, Michael D. (Cindy) Wolf of Ossian, Marcia (Gary) Mann of Bluffton, Wendell “Bruce” (Pam) Wolf of Craigville, along with 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and sisters, Marjorie (Joe) LaMar and Flo Cowens, both of Bluffton.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. today at the Thoma/Rich, Chaney & Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, in the funeral home, with calling hours one hour prior to the service. Pastor Harrison Williams will officiate. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Ossian.
