Rose E. Yoder

    Rose E. Yoder, 96, of Berne, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013 at her daughter's residence.
    She was born on Dec. 26, 1916 in Adams County to the late Jacob P. and Emily (Graber) Schwartz. She married the late Trueman E. Yoder on Jan. 30, 1941, he died in 1996.
    Rose was a homemaker and an Old Order Amish.
    Among survivors are three sons, Mervin R. (Elizabeth) Yoder of Flemingsburg, Ky., Abraham R. (Rosie) Yoder of Geneva and Wilson R. (Elizabeth) Yoder of Berne; four daughters, Edna R. (John) Schwartz of Sarasota, Fla., Elizabeth R. (Neil E.) Troyer of Geneva, Emma R. (Emanuel E.) Wickey of Owensville, Ky. and Ida R. (Elmer L.) Schwartz of Monroe; a daughter-in-law, Josephine E. Yoder of Berne; 73 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by two sons, Trueman R. Yoder and Jake R. Yoder; 11 brothers, five sisters; and three grandchildren. 
    Visitation will be from 1 - 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23 and 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at Wilson R. Yoder residence, 5370 E. 800 S. in Berne.
    Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25 also at the Wilson's residence with Bishop Joe R. Girod officiating.
    Burial will take place at Amish Blue Creek Cemetery in Berne.
    Arrangements are being handled by Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home in Decatur.
