     Editor's Note:  In the Wednesday edition of the Democrat the name of Pam and Steph Smith were inadvertently placed next to the wrong spouse. We apologize for this confusion. Here is a corrected obituary for Ronald Leroy Smith.

  Ronald Leroy Smith, 66, of Decatur, left his home on earth for his heavenly home. His death was the result of a motorcycle accident just north of Elkhart.
    Ron was born on May 10, 1947, to Harvey L. and Wanda M. (Baxter) Smith. He married Donna J. Bowers on May 22, 1971; she survives in Decatur.
    He lived in Monroe through his youth and attended Adams Central High School. In the late 1960s, Ron served in the United States Marine Corp.
    Other survivors include his mother, Wanda M. Smith of Monroe; a daughter, Laurie (Art) Templeton of Goshen; a son, Ronald "Scott" (Steph) Smith of Decatur; two sisters, ARvilla (Tom) Ripley of Lexington Kent. and Janet Omspach of Monroe; two brothers Rodney (Lori) Smith of Fort Wayne and Roger (Pam) Smith of Monroe; and six grandchildren, Christian, Breken, Summer, Kierra, Taedra, and Jabin. He left many friends and relatives with loving memories.
    Ron was preceded in death by his father, Harvey.
    Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, September 13 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home.  A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, also at the funeral home, with Pastor Mo Hodge officiating.
    Burial will follow at Ray Cemetery in Monroe.
